There might be no such a thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastrously close. A gorgeous veterinarian giving Greek god vibes—all while cuddling a tiny kitten? Immediately yes. That is until Xavier opens his mouth and proves that even sculpted gods can say the absolute wrong thing. Like, really wrong. Of course, there’s nothing Samantha loves more than proving an asshole wrong…

. . . unless, of course, he can admit he made a mistake. But after one incredible and seemingly endless date—possibly the best in living history—Samantha is forced to admit the truth, that her family is in crisis and any kind of relationship would be impossible. Samantha begs Xavier to forget her. To remember their night together as a perfect moment, as crushing as that may be.

Only no amount of distance or time is nearly enough to forget that something between them. And the only thing better than one single perfect memory is to make a life—and even a love—worth remembering.

I love reading Abby Jimenez books–though I am not usually a romance genre fan, I just love her books. So I got my hands on her latest books, Say You’ll Remember Me which was published nearly three months ago.

Say You’ll Remember me follows the love story between the gorgeous veterinarian Xavier and online freelancer Samantha. The two initially started on wrong foot–but then they started dating after Xavier donated a huge sum to Samantha’s rescue kitten’s operation. But then there’s a problem–Samantha was moving back to California for good to take care of her mother who is suffering from dementia.

Xavier wanted their relationship to work and so he begins flying to California to spend time with Samantha. But Xavier is also dealing with financial issues as he has loans he needed to pay and there are no other vets except him to take care of his clinic. Will their long distance relationship work out?

Most of Abby Jimenez’s books deal with sensitive and serious issues. This book deals with parental abuses which Xavier experienced as a kid and handling a patient with dementia in case of Samantha. The story is told in Xavier’s and Samantha’s POV and I really thought I liked their chemistry. There are some funny laughable scenes in the book, particularly the part where the women compare Xavier to the fictional character Rhys is ACOTAR series (you need to read the series to know which character I am talking about). The family issues was the major theme in this book–both Samantha and Xavier faced with their own family issues throughout the story. However, one thing that did not appeal to me was the long distance relationship–I honestly don’t really believe in long distance relationship as I know through experience that it doesn’t work out but then, you get a happy ending in this story as usual.

Overall, this book is worth 4 stars.
